Twitter Co-Founder Stars in Comic Book

Bluewater Productions has published a new comic book biography about Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter. The book sells for $3.99 on Comic Flea Market.

Patrick McCray wrote the script and Jason Moser illustrated the comic. The publisher released two covers, one drawn by Jason Moser and the other by drawn by Jason Marks. Publisher Darren G. Davis explained why his company continues to publish comic books about these unexpected characters:

Osama Bin Laden Hunt Retold in Graphic Novel

Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books partnered with indie comics publisher Bluewater Productions to create a graphic novel entitled Killing Geronimo: The Hunt for Osama Bin Laden.

The book focuses on the Navy SEAL Team Six mission that killed Osama Bin Laden. The book has been released today. Artist James Boulton illustrated. Writers Jerome Maida and Darren G. Davis collaborated wrote the story.

Maida had this statement in the release: “This is an epic story nearly ten years in the making. It’s like a true-to-life Jason Bourne novel. And like those Ludlum books, it’s a complex labyrinth of intrigue, danger and politics culminating in an action-packed ending.” (Via CNN)

Britney Spears Stars in Comic Book Biography

Britney Spears will star in her very own biographical comic book. Bluewater Productions will release Fame: Britney Spears in March.

The 32-page issue will explore everything from Spears’ Disney days to her more recent tabloid exploits. Patrick McCray wrote the script and Ricardo Jaime penciled the book.

In the release, publisher Darren G. Davis described the comic: “She was created in the Internet Age to be put on a pedestal, but no one can stand the glaring lights of celebrity that intensely. The title seeks to find the person within.”
