Facebook Launches New Messaging System
Today, Facebook hosted the invite-only press event we talked about last week. And, as suspected, the company has introduced a new messaging system that will integrate e-mail, text messaging, and communications via online chat service into one inbox, accessible from computers and smart phones. The system will be introduced over the next few months.
“Ultimately we don’t think that messaging is going to continue to operate the same way that it does today,” AllFacebook quotes Mark Zuckerberg during the event.
AllFacebook reported live from the event (with video) and will be posting updates about the new service. Just about every PR campaign has a Facebook component. How do you think this will figure into campaigns in the future?
