Boxing fans out there are getting a little love from HBO and parent company Time Warner, which has agreed to a pay-per-view deal for the November 12 bout between pugilist/singer/politician Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. In addition to airing the fight, another Time Warner station, CNN, will be promoting it.

They’re also something to keep in mind when you’re pulling together a media strategy: If a media company has a few different spots where your story can work from different angles, see if you can create a super-pitch for all of them, with ideas for fresh content in each outlet.
