360 Public Relations, which is celebrating a decade in business, has opened 360 Public Relations New York. The new office will be led by Rob Bratskeir, who has been named EVP and GM. He will also serve as creative director in this office and in the firm’s Boston HQ. Bratskeir was previously a New York-based EVP of Bratskeir & Company. 360PR has four practice areas: Entertainment & Electronics, Healthy Living, @ Home, Parenting, and 360 Social.
Burson-Marsteller has named Sarah Tyre MD of the Issues & Crisis Group. She’ll be based in New York reporting to Karen Doyne, MD and head of the group. Most recently, Tyre was SVP and MD of the Issues & Crisis Management group at Ketchum working with clients including Bridgestone/Firestone, ConAgra Foods, and IBM. She was with the firm for 15 years.
Morris Denton has joined Edelman as EVP and MD of the firm’s Austin office, reporting to Helen Vollmer, president of Edelman Southwest. Previously, he was head of corporate marketing at AMD and Infor Global Solutions. He also has previous firm experience, leading the Austin office of Citigate Cunningham.
Zach Leibowitz has been promoted to director at Dukas Public Relations. He’s been with the firm for two years and was previously an account supervisor. He was with Fox Business News prior to joining the firm, working as a segment producer and booker.
Retired Army Colonel Rudy Burwell has joined Hellerman Baretz Communications as EVP of the crisis comms and litigation practices. Burwell has 20 years of crisis experience, starting as a media relations officer in the Army. He went on to manage the media embed of 1,200 journalists during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the media relations tied to the military “surge” in 2007, and many other issues tied to the war in Iraq. He’ll be based in Hellerman Baretz’s Washington office.
