Leon Li has been named director of Edelman‘s public affairs practice in China. Li has previously worked for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese embassy in Argentina, and at private banks, including the Bank of East Asia.

Richard Licata has resigned as VP of corporate communications at Showtime Networks and joined NBC Entertainment as EVP of communications, a new position. He had been with Showtime for four years. In his new position, he’ll be working under chairman Robert Greenblatt, who was also at Showtime until January. [via The Wrap]

Ephraim Cohen has joined MWW Group as EVP of technology and digital content, leading the firm’s global practice. Cohen was previously the founder of The Fortex Group and served as EVP and GM of technology at Edelman.

Cohn & Wolfe has hired Stephen M. Brown to lead the firm’s Atlanta office as EVP and MD. Brown joins from MSLGroup where he was SVP in charge of the consumer practice. The Atlanta office was C&W’s first in the global network.

KCSA Strategic Communications has launched a financial and professional services practice with MD Sharron Silvers appointed to lead it. The firm has a history with financial and IR services and clients including Deloitte’s Financial Advisory Services and The American Stock Exchange.

Zito Partners has added Mondiale Group to its list of partners. Mondiale Group is a Santa Monica, CA-based strategic communications and marketing firm. Zito Partners, which launched in January, now has a total of 14 partners including ImageMedia, an event management and multimedia company, and Straightline NYC, a branding consultancy.
