Roll Call: Ogilvy, Edelman, APCO, and More

Ogilvy PR has appointed Jason Stolarczyk as SVP and Shelley Risk as VP of the firm’s Western US technology practice. Stolarczyk has 15 years of PR experience, including recent work with IBM and Microsoft. Risk was most recently with Horn Group, responsible for the consumer technology/Web 2.0 practice and social strategy content development for the firm.

Ethan Riegelhaupt has joined Edelman as SVP for corporate and public affairs. Previously, he was VP of speechwriting and internal communications at The New York Times Company. He will specialize in executive speechwriting, employee engagement, public affairs and crisis comms.

Lorie Fiber has joined Weber Shandwick as EVP and GM of Southern California operations, beginning October 13. She will be based in Los Angeles and report to North American president Cathy Calhoun. Previously, Fiber was an EVP at Edelman.

Hill & Knowlton has named Charles Sewell SVP and director of the Washington D.C. public affairs practice. He will provide clients with strategic counsel across a variety of industry sectors. He has served in leadership positions at a number of pharmaceutical organizations during his career including the National Community Pharmacists Association. 

APCO Worldwide has named Sukanti Ghosh MD of the firm’s India offices. Ghosh is the former head of corporate affairs at Barclays Bank PLC of India and was previously head of corporate and product comms at BankMuscat SAOG in Oman.

Public affairs firm Quinn Gillespie & Associates has added John Feehery as president and director at the firm. He will provide government relations and strategic comms counsel. Feehery founded The Feehery Group in 2007, and has worked for the Motion Picture Association of America and has held comms roles for members of the House of Representatives.

The Lippin Group has added three VPs: Elizabeth Wolfe, Erika Lewis, and Deborah Engel. Previously, Wolfe was SVP of worldwide publicity for Nu Image/Millennium Films, and she has 12 years experience with Walt Disney. Lewis, who joined the agency in 2006, has worked with the consumer publicity unit in areas of television, film production, music, and new media.  Engel rejoins the firm after recently serving as senior manager of communications at Nickelodeon, managing PR for Nickelodeon Preschool Television, working on programming like Dora the Explorer.

Former PR Newswire COO Dave Armon has joined PitchEngine as a strategic advisor. He joins Brian Solis in an advisory role.
