Roll Call: The Street, TBWA and Time Inc.

TheStreet announced that Ron Kost, Michael McCormack, Andrew Freedman and John Ferraro have joined the advertising sales team as directors of advertising sales under the leadership of group’s vice president, Patrick Dignan. They will be responsible for working with advertisers to sell its brands including TheStreet.com, MainStreet.com and TheStreet TV digital network. Ron Kost worked with startup and blue chip media companies for many years and spent the past four years with new media companies like GigaOM media and PSN Inc. Michael McCormack is a seasoned multi-media advertising sales and marketing executive with high-level industry contacts and a strong and consistent track record of improving performance and profitability for diverse multimedia organizations. Andrew Freedman brings more than 14 years of digital media sales experience to TheStreet and will be responsible for working with agencies and clients on a national basis to increase revenue growth. John Ferraro is joining TheStreet from Seeking Alpha where he worked with top financial and non-financial clients on the east coast. (Release)

Matt Ian has been named executive creative director at TBWA\C\D NY. Ian is taking over for Mark Figliulo as creative head of the agency’s New York office. Figliulo, who spent the last five-plus years as CCO/chairman of Chiat NY, is moving on to start his own shop. Ian, meanwhile, joins from Deutsch L.A., where he served as EVP/group creative director on VW. Prior to joining Deutsch, Ian worked as a senior creative at the likes of CP+B and BBH New York. Howard Averill has been named CFO of Time Warner. Averill is succeeding John Martin, who will now become CEO of Turner Broadcasting. Averill has been with Time Inc. since 2007, and most recently served as the company’s executive VP and CFO. Prior to his time at Time Inc., Averill was with NBC Universal for 10 years. (FishbowlNY)
