Tech Round Up: Google+ and SEO, Tablet Use, and More

Research by SEO company BrightEdge shows that 61 percent of the top 100 brands have launched a Google+ page. The company also found that companies with Google+ pages do better on Google searches, not surprisingly. Google has partnered with six companies, including Buddy Media and Context Optional, to provide third-party publishing, monitoring, and management services.

By 2014, eMarketer estimates that 35.6 percent of online customers will have tablet device. This year, that figure is 14.5 percent. Moreover, it forecasts that 68 percent of the tablets being used will be iPads. This year, 83 percent of tablets in use are iPads.

On the topic of tablets, the Kindle Fire is poised to become the number two tablet on the market despite some mediocre and bad reviews. [via TechCrunch]

Apple’s largest store in the world will be opening on Black Friday in New York’s Grand Central Terminal. Rent for the space is more than $1 million per year. [via Mashable] *Update: The New York Post reports that the Grand Central Apple store will now be opening on December 9. A big grand opening event is in the works.

ToutApp, the software company that maximizes email use, has launched its latest ToutApp 4.0 version. The new software features Gmail integration, Tout ioS for mobile users, and Tout University, offering tips and how-tos for using Tout products.
