That Winner Can Download A Lot More Apps

Apple announced this weekend it had reached 10 billion downloads and awarded the lucky 10 billionth  downloader a $10,000 iTunes card.

Did the company reach that milestone with a whole lot of Angry Birds? Not quite. In this list, Apple’s top app downloads are ranked and the selections are revealed to be extremely pedestrian: the Facebook app, Skype, Pandora, The Weather Channel, Shazam and Bump among them.  Notice, also, there are big differences between what iPhone and iPad users download: Facebook does not even appear on the iPad list.
