2011 Mirror Award Nominees Announced

As we have reported, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are set to host the 2011 Mirror Awards, which has the Newhouse School at Syracuse University honor the best in media reporting.

This morning the school announced the 2011 nominees. Among them:

“Chasing Fox,” from Gabriel Sherman in New York magazine, which focused on Fox News and the cable news wars.

“Keeping Up with Chuck Todd,” from Joel Meares in the Columbia Journalism Review, and following the NBC correspondent and MSNBC anchor.

“The End of Objectivity,” by James Poniewozik in Time, about how Fox News and MSNBC are changing the ideological game in news coverage.

Finalists announced in fifth annual Mirror Awards

Winners will be announced at awards luncheon June 7 in New York City

Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications today announced the finalists in the fifth annual Mirror Awards competition. The competition drew over 200 entries.
