Ann Curry Chatted with Robin Roberts As Her Pre-Treatment Procedure Was Underway
The “Today” show anchors gave a special shout-out to their cross-town rivals at “Good Morning America” this morning. “We are sending our very best wishes to Robin Roberts,” said Matt Lauer, adding, “We love you and our thoughts are with you.” Ann Curry added that she talked with Roberts yesterday, as Roberts was going through her pre-treatment procedure for a bone marrow translpant later this summer.
Roberts found out she had the rare blood disorder MDC, on the day “GMA” had its first weekly win over “Today” in 16 years.
“CBS This Morning” also sent their “love and strength” to Roberts. Said co-host Gayle King, “I called her last night and I said, ‘You know, when you’re faced with a hurdle, you become a hurdler.’ And Robin said she’s going to beat it and I believe her.”
