Cramer Responds to White House: “I’m a Fight-Not-Flight Guy”

cramer_3-5.jpgAfter the White House took on Jim Cramer for calling the Obama budget “the greatest wealth destruction by a President,” the CNBC host responded today.

Cramer, who founded TheStreet.com, wrote a column on a subsidiary site, Mainstreet.com: “I am proud to have voted for the Obama who I thought understood the need to get us on the right path, and create jobs and wealth before taxing it and making moves that hurt job creation,” he wrote. But: “If that makes me an enemy of the White House, then call me a general of an army that Obama may not even know exists — tens of millions of people who live in fear of having no money saved when they need it and who get poorer by the day.”

Cramer writes that although “I actually embrace every part of Obama’s agenda…this is an agenda that must be held back for better times.”

On the site, there’s a poll asking “who’s right?” Cramer has 92% on his side.

Today on Rush Limbaugh‘s radio show, Limbaugh said of Cramer: “He’s having more than second thoughts, it really has come full circle for him. He’s never been on the attack list before.”
