‘Fox & Friends’: We Get the Joke
The anchors of FNC’s “Fox & Friends” Steve Doocy, Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade, sat down with TV Guide Magazine for a Q&A, which will be in next week’s issue.
Doocy talked to TV Guide Magazine about their presence on comedy shows such as “The Daily Show” and “The Soup”: “Ever since they’ve done more on us, our ratings have actually gone up. So, thank you.”
Co-anchor Carlson adds, “I take it as a total compliment. If we weren’t something important — if we weren’t No. 1 — they wouldn’t be using our clips.”
Kilmeade (a.k.a. the brown-haired guy who’s not Steve Doocy) told the magazine: “I like what [the comedians] do. But what I’ve noticed over the past couple of years is they act like we never have any sense of humor, or that we’re never being sarcastic to each other.”
