Harry Smith’s On-Air Medical Emergency
CBS “Early Show” anchor Harry Smith had a bit of a scare this morning, when a routine cooking segment went horribly, horribly awry:
It happens to the best of us.
Erica Hill was able to step in and save the segment, but Harry needed to save his finger. He ended up going to Roosevelt Hospital, where the father of CBS News medical correspondent Dr. Jen Ashton treated him.
Smith (and his finger) are fine. He didn’t even need stitches.
