‘Intense’ Morning Joe Gets Updated Blend … For a Cause

AMJoe_11.13.pngNext Saturday, Starbucks will introduce an updated Gold Coast Blend: Morning Joe Edition coffee. It’s in conjunction with the Brewing Together Day of Service co-sponsored by the MSNBC morning show and Starbucks.

The “intense, full-bodied blend,” as Starbucks describes it, is now on sale at grocery stores. Meanwhile, “intense, full-bodied” Mika Brzezinski along with Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist will take their show on the road Friday, broadcasting from John McDonogh High School in New Orleans.

The goal is to raise awareness about educational needs across the country, best exemplified at McDonogh, which is still in a state of disrepair from the effects of Hurricane Katrina four years ago.

And as part of next Saturday’s day of service, Starbucks is asking people to log on to HandsOn Network to find a local volunteer opportunity.
