CNBC’s David Faber has a new book coming out today, and CNBC wants you to know about it. There is a movie-sized poster in the background of Faber’s live shots this morning and three copies of the book are propped-up in the foreground. He’s even got his colleagues on Wall Street with their copies.

Look, I get when an anchor or correspondent writes a book, it only makes sense that his or her network should publicize it. But is this just a little too much?
