Joe Scarborough in 2012? Ron Reagan says ‘Why Not?’
Ron Reagan has been making the rounds the past couple weeks selling his new book, My Father at 100. The presidential son and former MSNBC host — remember such hits as “Connected: Coast to Coast” with Monica Crowley and “After Hours” with Joe Scarborough? — talked with WHC Insider’s Tammy Haddad on Politico.com. Haddad asked Reagan if his former MSNBC colleague Scarborough should run in 2012. “Sure,” said Reagan with halting confidence. “He’d be the only Republican candidate not on FOX I think, instead over on MSNBC,” says Reagan. “Joe’s got some good qualities and he could spice up a debate pretty well.”

Joe Scarborough and Ron Reagan hosted the late-night show "After Hours" on MSNBC during the 2004 RNC & DNC. Here with guest, the late Ron Silver.
