Kanye West Cancels ‘Today’ Concert After Interview

The Matt Lauer-Kanye West beef continues. Ealier this week we noted West’s Twitter rant, attacking Lauer and NBC’s “Today” for playing a clip of his now-infamous MTV VMA appearance during an interview.

After playing the interview on the program the next day, Lauer said that West would be back in a couple of weeks to perform a single from his upcoming album.

Not any more, it seems.

West took to Twitter, again, to say that the performance is off.

“I’m not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons. I’m so happy the world got to see just a small piece of “the set up” I blatantly said I’m not performing on a tweet and to everyone around me and the next day they still announced a performance….And I don’t hate Matt Lauer… We don’t promote hate. That’s the whole point!!! I promote love and truth!
