‘Kony 2012′ Creator Makes the Rounds as Uganda Campaign Goes Viral
As recently as Monday, you may not have known the name Joseph Kony. Now, thanks to a 30-minute film about the Ugandan warlord that has notched more than 50 million YouTube views this week, you almost certainly do
The film, created by Jason Russell, was featured on all three evening newscasts yesterday, as well as several segments on CNN and MSNBC this week. ABC has also posted a clip online of President Obama calling Kony “a vicious killer” in an October interview with Jake Tapper.
On the “Today” show this morning, Russell talked with Ann Curry about the media coverage of the campaign which has received some criticism over the past week, as our sister site SocialTimes reports:
