CBS CEO Leslie Moonves to Wife Julie Chen: ‘If [The Talk] Doesn’t Work, I’ll Cancel You’
Talk about a straight shooter.
Yesterday, CBS premiered “The Talk” its daytime talk show featuring a panel of moms. The show’s host is former “Early Show” anchor Julie Chen, who also happens to be married to CBS CEO Leslie Moonves.
For their opening show, each of the panelists receieved a video greeting from a loved one. Because Chen’s son Charlie is too young to speak, she heard from her husband, who had these encouraging words:
“There are two reasons why I want this show to work. The first is that I love my wife so much, and the second is that if it doesn’t work, I’ll cancel you. See you at home dear.”
Video after the jump.
The Moonves segment begins at 5:40:
