Maria Bartiromo Looking at Getting into General News?

Silicon Alley Insider reports CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo is in the midst of contract negotiations and that the Money Honey, “might consider moving to general news if an extraordinary offer came along.”

That could open the door to talks with ABC News, and CBS News as well as with News Corp. for anchoring at Fox News and/or Fox Business.

However a rival network insider tells TVNewser, “In this environment, there might be fewer suitors for Maria than she thinks.”

Either way, we think Bartiromo will stay put. She rules the roost at CNBC and has NBC News and MSNBC on which to appear as well.
