Networks Cover Final Bush News Conference
President George W. Bush held his final news conference as President this morning, and all the networks and cablers covered the nearly hour-long event. The Associated Press called it a “nostalgic last appearance,” while Chris Matthews, anchoring on MSNBC, described it as “one historic press conference.” Bush took more than a dozen questions, was reflective on many major topics of his presidency and joked with the press corps (a clip of the conference is after the jump). Robin Roberts and Diane Sawyer on ABC, Russ Mitchell anchored on CBS and Matt Lauer on NBC. Martha MacCallum anchored FOX broadcast networks special report as well:![]()
