Piers Morgan Finally Admits He is Talking to CNN
Have you heard of this guy, Piers Morgan? Apparently he is talking to CNN about hosting some sort of program.
Yesterday Morgan admitted what everyone on the TV business already knew: that he is talking to CNN about hosting his own primetime show.
New York Times media reporter Brian Stelter caught up with Morgan on the Emmy red carpet last night, and asked him about the talks:
“We’ve been negotiating for a prime time position on CNN,” Morgan told him. “Negotiations are nearly at an end.”
Morgan also once again shot down the New York Post report that Visa troubles threatened to delay his move to the network.
Morgan has been silent on negotiations with CNN, despite reports that he has been talking to them since June.
He even co-hosted “Live with Regis & Kelly,” where he dodged the question from Kelly Ripa.
Now, it seems, it is only a matter of time before the network confirms the worst-kept secret in TV news: that Piers Morgan will take over for Larry King this Fall.
