Piers Morgan Talks About CNN … or Doesn’t

Piers Morgan punted when asked by Jay Leno if he was going to be CNN’s new 9pmET host. “I can’t actually talk about that at the moment,” Morgan responded after Leno asked.

Leno pressed: “If I was to go to Vegas, and I was to put a reasonable amount of money down….”

“All I can say is that I have signed a new 3-year deal with ‘America’s Got Talent,’” said Morgan. “Sorry to be cryptic about it.”

After discussing his career in British tabloid journalism, Leno asked, “Hypothetically, let’s say you had your own show … let’s say it was in New York, with a C and a bunch of N’s in it. Who would you want as your first guest?”

“My dream guest would be Nelson Mandela,” said Morgan.
