Marketwatch’s Jon Friedman plays a little Fantasy Baseball and wonders what would happen at the “Today” show, staff-wise, if NBC had to replace Matt Lauer. He thinks a smart choice would be CNBC anchor Erin Burnett: “Burnett is getting to a point at CNBC where NBC may have to contemplate moving her to a higher plane.” Of course, Friedman’s scenario is purely fictional. There’s no indication the popular “Today” anchor plans to leave any time soon.
