Prank Call Makes It On Air at CNN

Just after 1pmET today, Ali Velshi took a phone call from man named “Gene Lasker with New Jersey Emergency Management” who was to provide an update on the closing of Newark airport. The man turned out to be just a shock jock radio fan who could very well be from New Jersey, but is definitely not with the state’s emergency management.

Velshi later clarified that Newark had not been officially closed.

“Gene Lasker” is the name of a radio personality from the “Bubba the Love Sponge” show.
