Sotomayor Hearings Bring Kelli Arena Back On-Air

With confirmation hearings for Judge Sonia Sotomayor now underway, truTV has booked former CNN Justice Department/Supreme Court correspondent Kelli Arena to help provide analysis during an on-air panel discussion today, TVNewser has learned.

Arena is scheduled to be a guest during the 9-11 amET block anchored by Ashleigh Banfield. It’ll be Arena’s second appearance on truTV, having also been a guest once earlier this year.

Arena departed CNN last December during a wave of layoffs. Insiders say CNN does not intend to replace her on the Supreme Court beat.
