Kelly Evans Tapped to Host ‘Worldwide Exchange’

Kelly Evans has joined Ross Westgate as co-host of “Worldwide Exchange,” CNBC’s daily global markets show broadcast from London.

Evans replaces Christine Tan, who has hosted “Worldwide Exchange” since the show launched in 1995. Tan remains with CNBC as the Singapore-based anchor of “Managing Asia,” a weekly interview program.

Evans is a relative newcomer to CNBC. She joined the network from the Wall Street Journal in February.

Nicole Lapin Joins CNBC

Nicolelapin_1-11.jpgFormer CNN.com Live anchor Nicole Lapin is joining CNBC as an anchor on CNBC’s “Worldwide Exchange”.”

Lapin will be based at CNBC headquarters in New Jersey. The show airs from 4-6amET on CNBC/U.S. and in 100 countries simultaneously. Lapin joins Ross Westgate who anchors from London and Christine Tan who anchors from CNBC Asia in Singapore

“‘Worldwide Exchange’ is an integral part of CNBC’s global coverage and Nicole will bring a fresh perspective on business news.” said Jeremy Pink, SVP of Business News.

Lapin was among four CNN.com Live anchors let go in November when CNN.com shuttered its live anchor-driven Webcasts.

Before CNN, Lapin worked as a business and technology reporter for First Business Network on the floor of the exchanges in Chicago. She began her career as a general assignment and investigative reporter at local CBS affiliates in Palm Springs, Lexington and Sioux Falls, SD.
