> Maria Bartiromo, who interviewed Gov. Sarah Palin just days before she was announced as the GOP VP candidate, will interview Palin and Sen. John McCain tomorrow morning. Insiders tell us the interview will happen at 9:30amET on CNBC’s “Squawk On The Street.”

> Veteran ABC News director Roger Goodman has been tapped to direct the 2009 Academy Awards telecast. Goodman, ABC’s VP of special projects, has directed every election night for ABC News going back to 1978, and he will again next Tuesday.

> The fourth book based on a 48 Hours Mystery broadcast comes out tomorrow. “Invitation to a Murder” unravels the secrets behind a seemingly perfect marriage to find out who was behind a double murder. The book is written by 48 Hours Mystery producer Gail Abbott Zimmerman.
