Today Facebook Page Passes One Million Likes
NBC’s “Today” passed an arbitrary but fun social media milestone late yesterday, as its Facebook fan page passed one million likes. This morning the co-anchors went out to Rockefeller Plaza to talk about the accomplishment. Fans in the Plaza were given orange t-shirts and foam fingers, and were encouraged to “get excited” behind Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales.
Among the revelations gleaned from the Facebook page: the U.S. state with the biggest number of “Today” fans is Texas, and abroad Australia (which has a very successful “Today” show of its own) and Egypt are well-represented.
