Today Goes Prime Time

Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker and Ann Curry are headed to prime time.

NBC will air “2008: Today Looks Back, A Holiday Special,” on December 22 at 8pm (or, for those counting at home, it could be called “the fifth hour of the Today show”).

The program will look at the top five stories of the year and the top five people of the year, while highlighting some funny outtakes and bloopers from the Today show.

All of Today‘s other anchors will contribute to the hour-long special as well.
