Professional Experience
I'm new to freelancing, but not to writing and publishing. I am an Alaska-based writer who lives in a cabin without running water, but got an undergraduate degree in Manhattan and spent my 20s in California doing odd jobs like wildland firefighting and working as volunteer chef for gorillas. I have pursued degrees in history, but have worked as a journalist and as an applied anthropologist. I have a particular knack for taking complex ideas and turning them into readable, understandable stories.
