I’m the kind of person who reads usage manuals for fun. I'm a full-time freelancer with more than ten years of writing, editing, coaching, and project management experience in a wide range of fields. I am particularly experienced and skilled with scholarly texts in the humanities and social sciences, political texts, business books, and fiction. I work with many translated texts and texts written by non-native English speakers, and am sensitive to the special cultural and linguistic issues involved with such texts. I also offer "book doctor" services and book indexing. I am a member of the National Writers Union, the American Copy Editors Society, the American Society for Indexing, and the Editorial Freelancers Association.
