I have been working in the publishing industry for 20 years as the Senior Editor and Editor of The World Almanac and Book of Facts, a proofreader/editorial assistant at the United Nations Department for General Assembly and Conference Management and United Nations Population Division. I successuffly published four editions of The World Almanac, The World Almanac for Kids, student-level Gareth Stevens titles, and several editions of the UN Population Division's World Population Policies and World Mortality Reports and associated statistical posters. I also worked on and off for five years as a technical writer at Information Builders, Atlas Air, and Dolby Laborotories, writing and publishing software and technical manuals in print and XML.
