Professional Experience

For 25 years, I've written for national publications as both editor and freelancer—from Reader's Digest to the New York Times, from inflight magazines and parenting publications to custom contest. My specialty is family travel with kids of all ages, including teens and 20s and multigenerational trips. I also write on other topics such as environmental and health. To see examples of published work: visit www.familytravelink.com. As a former magazine editor and book author (with Random House and National Geographic), I know what editors need. I have teaching experience at the College level, and a working knowledge of French with some Spanish. For my writing, I have won many awards including a 2013 Travel Blog post award from the Canadian Tourism Commission.
