Professional Experience

For fifteen years, Ive been writing for many of the nations top, front-of-the-newsstand publications, including O: The Oprah Magazine, The NY Times, Real Simple, and Readers Digest. I specialize in lifestyle pieces, food, travel, and health. Assignments have taken me to Botswana, where I accompanied the UN on an investigation of the HIV/AIDS crisis; to Hawaii, where I wrote about learning how to surf; to Utah, where I scuba dove inside of a crater. Versatility is my strong suit. Im a former health columnist for the NY Daily News and a former relationships columnist for Redbook. Im happy working in the field or poring through research at my desk. I have a strong reporting background and an MFA in creative writing. My solid reputation comes from years of delivering lively, exactly-what-you-asked-for pieces. I've worked with most of my editors for over a decade. Im happy writing for a variety of publicationsmagazines, newspapers, web, etc.
