She has covered everything from luxury condos in Switzerland for Robb Report to Lake Como's newest five-star resort (Luxist) to the best places to get waxed for The Washingtonian, plus daily travel news for Gadling and AOLTravel. A native Washingtonian, McLean blogs daily about DC living at DeaconDoesDC.com, her personal site tracking all things fashion, food and fun in the District and beyond. She graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she majored in English literature and double minored in Journalism and History.
