Professional Experience
I’ve spent most of the last 20 years in publishing – most recently as the executive editor for Modern Luxury Media. Prior, I was dining critic and chief food writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the largest daily newspaper in the Southeast. I've covered everything from Cuban media noche to the craze in home canning, and interviewed trend setters from Alice Waters to Carlo Petrini and food wits such as Calvin Trillin. (Ludacris, I’m proud to say, loves my toes.) In 2006 I was nominated for a James Beard Award. I also wrote a food-and-lifestyles blog, Life is Lemonade, which mused on life, love and food. I have many years of experience writing, editing, organizing large projects for publication, managing budgets, writing and testing recipes, styling and coordinating food content. My passion for food began as a chef, and I was happy in my role as chef instructor at Johnson & Wales University for seven years.
