Over the course of my journalism career, I've traveled to five continents, writing stories on a diverse set of topics--from desert treks through Jordan to golf journeys throughout China. In all of those cases -- and for every assignment that I take on (including the ones that don't require me to leave my desk) -- I try to emphasize the human element of an experience or a situation, finding the people involved whose stories bring life and meaning to the piece. I work primarily as a lifestyle writer (I've focused on the luxury industries for much of my career), and I pride myself on delivering clean copy that is engaging and well written. Most of all, I'm adept at recognizing the nuances that define and distinguish different audiences, which allows me to always write to the reader and -- when necessary -- with a specific reader in mind.
