Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing recognition; communicating effectively to promote a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives; setting goals; building accountability; identifying improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning.

Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening; touring stores and providing feedback; collaborating on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company initiatives; leading change efforts; and communicating business objectives clearly. Models exceptional customer service standards following the OBW service model; manages customer service initiatives; resolves customer issues; and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Ensures compliance with policies and supports the company's mission and values by implementing action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and guiding on business practices. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements; managing budgets; monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory, and operations; and developing plans to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals.

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, and additional perks such as disability insurance, discounts, and family support programs. The annual salary range is $65,000 to $80,000, with potential additional compensation based on performance, location, and external factors.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and Firearms Authorized Training is required. All associates must complete required training and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports with responsibilities including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
