Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing recognition; communicating effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives; identifying goals; building accountability; addressing improvement opportunities; and promoting continuous learning. Leads teams through teaching, training, active listening, store tours, feedback, and collaboration across all levels regarding store operations, technology, initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Ensures exceptional customer service by following the OBW service model, supporting customer initiatives, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies, supports the company's mission and values, and promotes ethics and integrity. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L, managing budgets, monitoring inventory and operational processes, and developing action plans to meet sales and profit goals. Embraces diversity, fosters a culture of belonging, and builds strong relationships. Acts with integrity, delivers results prioritizing the customer, strives for excellence through continuous improvement, and supports change with technology and skill development.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must complete all required training and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
