Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing recognition; communicating effectively to promote a belonging mindset; and recruiting qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Leads teams through teaching, training, feedback, and collaboration, ensuring effective communication of store operations, business initiatives, and company direction. Demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the OBW service model, managing customer service initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies, supports company values, and promotes ethics and integrity. Drives financial performance by managing P&L, budgeting, controlling expenses, and optimizing merchandise presentation and inventory flow. Fosters a culture of respect, integrity, customer focus, and excellence, encouraging innovation and resilience. The annual salary range is $65,000-$80,000, with potential performance bonuses and location-based pay adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required. Some positions may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
