Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, communicating effectively, promoting a belonging workplace, and recruiting qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, listening, store tours, feedback, collaboration, and implementing change initiatives. Ensures exceptional customer service by following the OBW service model, managing customer issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports company values through action plans, open-door policies, and ethical guidance. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, operational processes, and developing strategies to reduce shrink and meet sales and profit targets. Embraces diversity, fosters a culture of belonging, and builds trust within the team. Acts with integrity by upholding high standards of ethics, supporting Walmart’s culture, and being accountable. Focuses on customer satisfaction by making informed decisions and balancing priorities. Strives for excellence by fostering curiosity, learning, innovation, resilience, and supporting change. The annual salary range is $65,000-$80,000, with additional compensation based on performance, location, and complexity factors.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college, or 1 year of retail and supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work and 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm-related roles, successful background checks and training are required. Associates must complete all required training and assessments.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, a Certificate in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibilities in performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
