Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
What you’ll do
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
- Identify goals and objectives, communicate progress, and address improvement opportunities while demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning.
- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach); collaborate with all levels of staff on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction.
- Implement and communicate business solutions with clear expectations and guidance.
- Model exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model and support customer service initiatives and community programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and the Open Door Policy; guide the application of values, ethics, and integrity in daily processes.
- Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, maintaining effective merchandise presentation, and mitigating shrink to achieve goals.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for associates, with programs ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are covered by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply and benefits may change.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and other position-specific pay.
Minimum qualifications
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
2 years’ college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific background check and training may be required. For facilities with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates will be required to attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
