Overview
Walmart is hiring with a base pay range of $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience. This role is described with responsibilities related to supervising and developing hourly associates, hiring and training, coordinating store operations, driving customer service, and leading change efforts to support business goals.
What you'll do
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth; coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, providing feedback, and communicating store operations, technology, initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; drive change and ensure clear guidance on business solutions.
- Ensure customer service excellence by modeling service standards, supporting customer service initiatives, resolving needs and issues, and leading process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics; support Open Door Policy and apply principles in business processes.
- Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and ensuring merchandising, inventory, and operations align with sales goals; develop action plans to reduce shrink and meet profit targets.
- Foster a culture of respect and belonging; work as a team; build relationships; communicate with impact and positivity; mentor others and acknowledge contributions.
- Act with integrity, uphold Walmart values, and support the company’s goal of becoming a regenerative company by positively impacting associates, customers, and communities.
- Deliver results with the customer in mind, balance short- and long-term priorities, and adapt to new technologies, tools, and changes.

Annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and other position-specific compensation where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
- For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates will be required to attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; certificate in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
