LSI has multiple Mechanical CAD Designer positions available at our Milwaukee offices. Mechanical CAD Designer - Milwaukee (Full-Time) Logical Systems LLC (LSI), a provider of engineering and project management services since 1985, is seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. LSI offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where your contributions will make an impact. JOB SUMMARY

Mechanical Designer utilizes mechanical knowledge and design skills to develop drawings including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), 2D and 3D equipment and process layout drawings, and other design or CAD drawings to support projects in a number of industries. RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop Mechanical design deliverables for complete projects to produce a design package that is technically accurate, conforms to industry and client standards, is constructible, and efficient. Deliverables include P&IDs, 2D layouts, 3D layouts and sections, bill of materials, and construction scope of work documents. Check other resources’ design drawings and supplier equipment drawings for accuracy and buildability. REQUIREMENTS

Current working knowledge of ASME standards with the ability to locate solutions to code questions. Ability to identify field devices (proximity switches, photo eyes, solenoid valves, etc.) for the purpose of producing schematics. Advanced and current working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor or MicroStation. Advanced and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent organizational, design and drafting skills. Ability to read, understand, and review engineering drawings (PFDs, P&IDs, 2D and 3D layouts). QUALIFICATIONS

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment with LSI and client resources. Knowledge and experience with process design and installation. Three or more years of directly related experience. Strong mechanical design fundamentals including a background of ASME standards. BENEFITS
