What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Grow sales within assigned territories through direct sales to feedlots and backgrounding operations
Collaborate with Animal Health representatives to create target lists and execute sales action plans
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from executive offices to farm-level management
Develop and implement accurate account plans to manage long-term relationships and sales opportunities
Travel overnight as necessary to meet territory goals
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma or equivalent with five years of relevant industry experience, or a four-year college degree, or a two-year animal science specific degree
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales, Sales Management, or Marketing roles in the agricultural field
Strong knowledge of the US beef industry, particularly the confined fed cattle market
Proven sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build business relationships
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in the feedlot industry or technology space
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization
History of sound decision-making and innovative thinking
Experience in beef production or a demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn the industry
