Mortgage Field Services Inspector – FAR Inspections
Basing in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections is seeking independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.
Responsibilities
Complete exterior occupancy inspections in a county within 4 days of assignment.
Take 9+ photos with brief comments and fill out a short form in a mobile app.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Drive within the assigned territory, spending extended periods on the road during the day.
Qualifications
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle; good gas mileage a plus.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.
Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 contractor position. Each inspection has a flat rate, varying by county and volume. Work is consistent month-to-month, typically 20–500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week, equivalent to $30–$40 per hour. No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
