FAR Inspections, based in Reno, NV, is looking for highly motivated independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines is crucial.

Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5–6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within four days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take nine or more photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in a mobile application.
Spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day within the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with an internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus since you will be paying for your own gas).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn an equivalent of
$30‑$40 per hour .
Depending on county—urban or rural—you will complete anywhere from 20‑500 inspections per month while working 2‑30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates. There is no set number of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
