Job Summary
FAR Inspections is seeking a Mortgage Field Services Inspector based in Reno, NV to conduct residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors will earn a predictable full‑time or supplemental income with flexible scheduling.
What is an Occupancy Verification? Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. The inspection’s purpose is to verify property occupancy, report general condition via a mobile application, and take requisite photographs.
Responsibilities
Complete inspections within 4 days after assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Spending extended periods driving while making multiple stops within the assigned territory.
Qualifications
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage preferred).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Compensation & Hours This is a 1099 position with a flat rate per inspection. Rates vary by county and volume. Estimated earnings are $30‑$40 per hour, with 20‑500 inspections per month depending on the territory. No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee.
